Dolores Ann Beavers, 69, of Princeton, W.Va., passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Dolores was devoted to her children and companion and they were all by her side at her passing.
Born July 28, 1943 in Bluewell, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Dulcie (Shrader) Riggs. She was a graduate of Montcalm High School where she was voted “Miss Congeniality” during her senior year. She was the former secretary for the Princeton Moose where she was a member of Moose Heart. She was also a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Princeton, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, husband, Lawrence Alec Beavers Sr., four brothers and one special niece, Rita Blankenship preceded her in death.
Her memory will be forever cherished by sons, Carl J. Beavers of Princeton, W.Va., James A. Beavers and wife Jodi of Canton, Ohio, Timothy F. Beavers and wife Anna of South Point, Ohio, Lawrence A. Beavers Jr. of Princeton, W.Va., and William H. Beavers and Kathy Hall of Davidson, N.C.; daughters, D. Lynne Beavers Stanton of Hurricane Ridge and Gina E. Farris of Princeton, W.Va. Companion Floyd Bennett of Princeton, W.Va.; brothers, James Riggs of Cumberland, Md. and Larry Riggs of Bluewell, W.Va.
Her grandchildren, Jicole AM Beavers, Jorree I. Beavers, Jennah D. Beavers, James A. Beavers Jr., Kayla L. Behrend, Timothy James Beavers and Falicia Ann Beavers will also miss their grandmother very much. Special niece, Sharon Carroll and special nephew, Ricky Riggs will miss her as well.
Funeral services for Dolores will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Her extended family of Richard Croy, Johnny Beckner, Timmy Meadows, Anthony Parker, Billy Taylor, Rodney Hanson, Tim Bailey, David Gunter and Merrit Blankenship will have the honor of serving as pallbearers.
