DANVILLE, Va. —
DANVILLE, Va. — Lucille Jennings, 89, of 6533 Mount Cross Road in Danville, Va., formerly of Princeton died Monday, April 15, 2013 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born January 20, 1924 in Gardner, W.Va. she was the daughter of the late Garner Rose and Bessie Pritchard Rose. She was retired from the G.C. Murphy Company with fourteen years service and had been a resident of Danville since 2004 moving there from Princeton. Lucille was a member of the Church of Christ in Rocky Gap, Va. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hearl Billy Jennings; one brother, Sherald Rose; and three sisters, Mary Ruth Coburn, Iris Johnson, and Margaret Barton.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Burke and husband Earl and Patricia Ford and husband Shelby, all of Danville, Va.; one son, Larry Jennings of Danville, Va.; six grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Orville Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour on Friday.
