Tammy Jan Spangler

BLUEFIELD — Tammy Jan Spangler, 50, of 112 Burton St., Bluefield, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 in Thompson Valley, Va.

She was born in Mercer County, W. Va., and was a daughter of the late William Parks Sr. and Ruth Blackwell Parks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Lunsford.

She was of the Baptist faith, loved the Lord and was a very loving and giving person.

She is survived by her husband, Robert William Spangler; son, Samuel Clark Owens; brothers, Claude Ratliff Sr. and wife Donna of Bluefield, William D. Parks Jr. of Bluefield, Kenneth Allen Parks of Bluefield; sisters, Debbie Dix and husband Don of Bluefield, Jennifer Green and husband Robert of Bluefield (Robert Green was a special close friend to her); several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with the Rev. Curtis Honaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services.

Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va. is serving the Tammy Jan Spangler family.
