Curtis Hampton “Buddy” Dawson

WHEELERSBURG, Ohio — WHEELERSBURG, Ohio - Curtis Hampton “Buddy” Dawson passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth after an illness of three weeks. He was born November 22, 1928, in Freeman, W.Va., to the late, John R. and Sadie Doss Dawson.

Lauderdale, Fla.; and sister-in-law, Julia “Judy” Dawson of Palatka, Fla.; and a special niece who is a sister to the Dawson family, Sarah “Bibbi” (Larry) Sigmon of Sandlick.

Uncle Buddy leaves nieces and nephews who treasure their childhood memories of him; a new generation of grandnieces and nephews; as well as three great-grandnieces; and one great-grandnephew, who live across the country from Washington State to New York to Florida; one grandnephew is also his namesake, Curtis Lee Sigmon (Michelle) of Loris, S.C.

Local relatives include nieces, Dana Cochran of Bramwell, Jonni Stoker (Tom Dunford) of Burke’s Garden, and Ann Boyd of Bluefield; and grandniece, Amanda Cochran of Bramwell.
