CLAYPOOL HILL, Va. — Dorothy Mae Puckett Coe passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Claypool Hill, Va. She was born August 21, 1921 in Jenkinjones, W.Va. Dorothy and her husband, the late Lacy Coe, operated the Claypool Hill Skating Rink for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Samuel and Agnes Mitchell Puckett; her husband, Henry Lacy Coe; two brothers, Hoyt and Stanley “Clint” Puckett; two sisters, Catherine Addison and Louise Fain; a special nephew, Joseph Addison; and special niece, Sue Addison Compton.

Survivors are her sister, Helen P. Woody of Colonial Heights, Va.; nephews,  Jerry, Larry, and Tom Addison, all of the Richlands area. Several other special nieces and nephews, relatives, and many friends also survive.

Funeral services for Dorothy Mae Puckett Coe will be conducted Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Va. with the Reverend Jackie Strickler officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill, Va. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Food Pantry, 106 Veterans Drive, Richlands, VA 24641, or a charity of your choice.
