BLUEFIELD — Born on June 16, 1932 in Caldwell, WV, he was a son of Wallace Lockhart and Mildred Kathleen Loomis Lockhart. He was a retired coal miner for US Steel for 42 years and was a veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. He had been a resident of Gary for most of his life and had lived in Princeton the last 10 years.

He was preceded in death by: his wife of 52 years, Aliene Bevins Lockhart; brothers, Garnett, Leslie, Albert, James, Ronald, Donald Lockhart; and sisters, Irene Lilley and Mildred Rose.    

He is Survived by: Son Carson Bevins, wife Tina of Galloway OH; Granddaughter Crystal (Ben) Vause of Worthington OH; Brothers: Walter Lockhart, (Rosie Deceased) Gary, WV, Merle (Mary) Lockhart - Warren, NJ; Sister - Ann (David) Bergeron - Gloucester, VA;  Aunt Madora Marchal and Numerous Sisters In Laws, Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday Jan 10, 2014, at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor David Bergeron officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.

Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
