COALWOOD — Mable was born on February 11, 1928 in Worth, WV to Arthur and Hannah Johnson and resided in Coalwood, WV. She attended Elkhorn High School. She was a faithful member of the Galilee Baptist Church, Arlington, WV.

Mable touched the lives of man people with her passion for singing solos with her God given gift of a beautiful voice and reciting poems in church, and with her generosity. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband John Jones, Jr. and Joseph Gravely, whom she married after the death of John. She was also preceded in death by one son, Edward Jones; her brothers, Alexander, John, Spencer, Henry, James and William Johnson ad sisters, Annabelle Jones, Anna Farrow and Norma Eaton.

Mable will forever be remembered by sisters Leatha Bonds, Worth, WV and Henrietta Mack, Columbus, OH; stepsons Ronnie (Ophia) Gravely, Columbus, OH, Joseph (Jerilynn) Gravely, Columbus, OH and Karl Gravely, Columbus, OH; a niece Caroleen (Ronald) Nelson, Reynoldsburg, OH, who she raised for seven years; Sister-in-law Helen Johnson, Columbus, OH and Patricia Johnson, Martinsville, VA.; 20 Grandchildren and a host of Great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins;, and spiritual sisters and very close friends Elena Armstead of Worth, WV and Corrine Floyd of Charleston, WV.

 While we will miss Mable dearly, we know that she is in perfect peace with the Lord, and that He has welcomed her with open arms. Mable will forever be remembered.

A celebration of Mable's life will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Galilee Baptist Church, Arlington. WV. Burial will follow at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Rt. 20, Bluewell, WV. Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral will follow at 12:00 pm.

Serving as Pallbearers and Flower bearers will be members of the family.

Family and friends are invited to return back to the Church for the repass.
