Hoops roundup: Tigerettes rout Oak Hill again

Ft. Chiswell sweeps Narrows in MED tourney

PRINCETON — The Princeton Tigerettes produced another high-scoring night against Oak Hill on Monday, beating the Red Devils 92-15 at Princeton Senior High School.

Princeton took a 101-17 win on Jan. 8.

Maranda Wimmer had 21 points on 9-for-13 shooting from the floor, and added four rebounds and a steal for Princeton (16-4). McKenzie Akers had 16 points, six assists and five steals. Ashley Culicerto added 14 points, 10 assists and five steals.

Top scorer for Oak Hill was Sarah Kessler with eight points.

The Tigerettes stole the ball 25 times and limited Oak Hill to 10 rebounds in all and no points in the third quarter.

GARDNER — Hope Nester scored 20 points on the night she was recognized for reaching a scoring milestone, leading the Panthers.

Nester was honored with a basketball and plaque for scoring her 1,000th point last Friday at Summers County.

Alexis May added 20 points for PikeView, while Courtney White contributed five points and 17 rebounds. Nester also dished out four assists and snagged seven steals.

Bre Pertee led Wyoming East (11-10) with 19 points.

PikeView (9-10) will host Shady Spring tonight in what is “Parents and Grandparents Night”. The Panthers will host James Monroe in a girls-boys doubleheader for Senior Night on Thursday.

COAL CITY — The Lady Mavericks pulled off 25 steals as a team to improve to 12-7 on the season Monday.

Kelsie Mann had 18 points, 20 rebounds and eight steals for James Monroe. Carter Shiflet added 11 points and Jordan Page had 10.

Emily Fedukovich led the Patriots with 12 points, all of them coming on four three-pointers.
