HINTON — The Lady Bobcats roared to a 12-point victory after leading 26-24 at intermission.

Avery Pivont had 17 points to pace Summers County. Shelby Smith had 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Tyra Wynes had 12 points and five assists.

Top scorer for the Irish was Samantha Fletcher with 26.

Summers County plays at Clay County on Monday.

PILGRIM’S KNOB, Va. — Sheldon Adams led three Panthers in double figures with 15 points. Logan Cantrell added 14 and Christian Case tossed in 13.

Richlands (3-17) was paced by Trent Davis and J.T. Anderson with nine points apiece. The Blue Tornado will visit Tazewell on Monday in the opening round of the Southwest District tournament.

Twin Valley (10-11), winners of three straight, is one of four teams (along with Hurley, Council and Grundy) in the Black Diamond District tied for third place. A meeting will be held today to determine pairings for the tournament that begins this week at Clinchco Elementary School.

Cody Kincaid led all scorers with 28 for Rainelle Christian.
