PRINCETON — Princeton started early and closed fast in beating Nitro 83-67 at the PSHS gym Thursday night. The Tigers used a balanced attack with four starters scoring in double figures to win their third game in four starts.

Nitro then mounted a run behind senior guard Angelo Sirianni. He scored six points during a 9-0 run and Nitro trailed by 11, 61-50, after three periods.

In the final quarter the Wildcats crept to within seven on three occasions. After a Sam Neff jumper from the lane with three-and-a-half minutes remaining, Princeton’s  Hunter Walters converted a three-point-play and Princeton led by double figures, 73-63.

The Tigers were solid at the line, hitting their final eight foul shots to walk away with the win.
