Tigers finish 1-2 on golf course

PIPESTEM — Shady Spring edged Princeton by a single stroke on Monday in a high school golf match at Pipestem Resort State Park.

The Tigers from Raleigh County had a 155 team score, one shot ahead of the Mercer County Tigers. PikeView came in third and Summers County was fourth. Montcalm fielded two golfers and did not post a team score.

Co-medalists, with identical rounds of 37, were Tyler Hillyer of Princeton and Landon Perry of Shady Spring.

Princeton hosts a match on Thursday at Princeton Elks, which will include PikeView.
