PEARISBURG, Va. —
Ian Mann continues to be the man for Giles, running for 173 yards on 13 carries and four first quarter touchdowns to lead the Spartans to a 63-12 Three Rivers District win over East Montgomery on Friday night.
Giles (8-1, 4-0) scored 35 points in the opening quarter, with Mann scoring four times in a matter of seven carries, and three times in a row.
Brett Whitlow added 127 yards on 10 carries and three scores of his own. Garrett Lee was 9-for-9 in extra points for the Spartans, who still haven’t punted in four TRD games.
Giles finished with 440 yards rushing, while the Mustangs (4-5, 1-3) were held to three yards on the ground. Alex Phillips did throw for 131 yards and three interceptions.
The Spartans forced five turnovers, including an interception and fumble recovery for Zach Simmons.
Giles can wrap up the Three Rivers title next Friday by hosting Radford.

NARROWS, Va. — Tyler Lundy threw three touchdown passes and James Williams ran for two scores, leading the Blue Devils to a Mountain Empire District win over the Green Wave.
Lundy was 9-of-15 for 77 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Michael Rodgers, who had four receptions for 48 yards. Williams led the Blue Devils with 57 yards on the ground.
Grayson County (7-2, 3-1) took a 29-6 lead into the break.
Narrows (1-8, 0-4) was paced by Rodney Perdue, who threw for 95 yards and two touchdowns, both to Chandler Burton, who had four receptions for 58 yards.
Trevor Hart led all backs with 81 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown. Kelly Dent added 63 yards on nine carries for the Green Wave.
Narrows will conclude its season next Friday at Graham.
