A pair of Bluefield State juniors, Charity Harris and Shae Mebane, and Concord junior Amanda Smith appear on the honorable mention list of all-WVIAC women’s basketball, released Sunday afternoon.
Smith, a graduate of Princeton Senior High, averages 13.7 points per game, making 44.8 percent of her floor shots and 77.8 percent of her free throws. In 27 games this season, she also has 107 rebounds, 36 steals and 40 assists.
Mebane is BSC’s leading rebounder (6.9 per game) and shot blocks (1.3 per game, ninth best in the conference). She averages 11.6 points per game and has five double-doubles this campaign.
Harris is sixth in the WVIAC in both assists per game (4.3) and steals (2.1). Her 107 assists is the most for a Lady Blue since 2006. She averages 10.6 points per game.
