Fayetteville 50, Montcalm 21

FAYETTEVILLE — Jessica Brown had a double-double to lead Class A No. 8 Fayetteville past Montcalm Friday. Brown scored 21 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.

Alvina Sedlock had another double figures scoring night with 13 points for Fayetteville. Erica Hogan grabbed 11 rebounds and Madie Pritt had seven steals for the Lady Pirates.

Montcalm was led by Miranda Kendrick, Brenna Tyree and Hannah Johnson with five points apiece.

Fayetteville (13-4) travels to county rival Meadow Bridge Monday.

NARROWS, Va. — Susan Davis scored 12 points and Carolyn Vaughn added 10 as Galax used a big first quarter advantage to dispatch Narrows 56-32 on Friday night.

Galax outscored the Green Wave 23-5 in the opening period.

Tiffany Perdue led Narrows with 14 points.
