G-Girls squash Narrows in MED

BLUEFIELD, Va. — The Graham G-Girls picked up their first Mountain Empire District win of the season, defeating the Narrows Green Wave 60-26, Wednesday evening at Graham Middle School.

Emaleigh Gallinger, Taylor Williams and Casey Spencer each scored 10 points to pace the G-Girls offensive attack.

Tiffany Perdue led Narrows with 12 points.

Graham, 7-5 overall and 1-1 in the MED, plays Friday at Bland County. Narrows hosts Ft. Chiswell on Friday.

HINTON — The Summers County Bobcats dropped their second game in as many nights, the most recent to the Nicholas County Grizzlies.

Jarod Tharp led Nicholas County with 34 points. Cody McClung has 20 and Eric Peyatt 18.

Ta’Ron Ayers paced the Bobcats with 21, T.J. Smith added 20 and Josh Graham tallied 12.

The Bobcats (5-4) will host PikeView, Saturday night.
