18 Concord football players make all-conference

BRIDGEPORT — The Mountain East Conference selected 18 Concord University football players to its all-conference list released on Tuesday.

The first team includes two Concord seniors, linebacker Jake Lilly and safety Davon Marion; center Rustin Mayorga; and punter Andrew Huska, who averaged a league-high 41.5 yards per punt and led the conference with 30 touchbacks on kickoffs. Lilly and Marion were the top two tacklers on this year’s team; Lilly also forced five fumbles and Marion picked off five interceptions. Mayorga was a key cog in the offensive line. Concord finished 8-3, claiming its fifth straight winning season.


BRIDGEPORT — All-Mountain East Conference football players from Concord University, announced on Tuesday:

First team — linebacker Jake Lilly (senior), safety Davon Marion (senior), center Rustin Mayorga (junior), punter Andrew Huska (soph.)

Second team — wide receiver Tiko Henderson (soph.), running back Calvinaugh Jones (soph.), utility selection Ben Nester (junior), offensive lineman Coleman Osborne (r-fr.)

Honorable mention — offensive lineman Tyler Billings (soph.), tight end Dalton Brindo (r-fr.), safety Josh Clark (senior), linebacker Austin Dotson (soph.), kicker Andy Ellington (soph.), defensive lineman Keith Ferguson (junior), linebacker Ervin Moore (soph.), offensive lineman Cody Parker (junior), defensive lineman Anthony Pyle (soph.) fullback Shaun Workinger (soph.)
