NARROWS, Va. — Brett Mabry threw for 108 yards and three touchdowns, and Dallas Ward ran for 98 yards and two scores, as Fort Chiswell improved to 7-0 on the season.

Ward put Fort Chiswell on the board with an 8-yard scoring run in the first quarter, and then Patrick Beidleman, who had four carries for 134 yards, ran for 95 of those yards for another touchdown and a 14-0 lead.

Mabry, who was 7 for 9 through the air, completed scoring passes of 27, 11 and 19 yards to three different receivers in the second quarter to give the Pioneers a 34-0 halftime lead.

Joe Hall completed 7 of 17 passes for 47 yards, while Ty Hall caught five passes for 34 yards. The Green Wave had just 134 yards on offense.

Narrows (3-4) will visit Galax on Friday.

MONTCALM — Montcalm had the ball in the final seconds, but couldn’t get the ball in the end zone, dropping to 1-7 on the season.

Ryan Absher had a big night for the Generals, rushing for 87 yards and three touchdowns from 4, 12 and 55 yards, and also had 80 yards receiving.

Lanter threw for 135 yards and also ran for 55 yards, including a 2-yard touchdown run.

Dakota Conley (47), Jason Grose (37) and Travis Duncan (20) also had rushing yards for Montcalm. Duncan also had 22 yard receiving, while John Casto added 35.

Montcalm, which trailed 27-26 with 1:40 left before the Patriots drove for another score, will visit Tygarts Valley next week.

Six seniors were recognized on Senior Night at Prudich Stadium.
