Prep roundup: Green Wave rips past Bobcats

NARROWS, Va. — Joe Hall and Will Patteson had big games at the plate and on the mound and helped the Narrows Green Wave past the Summers County Bobcats 11-0, Tuesday evening in Narrows.

Hall worked three innings and Patteson two on the hill and each allowed one Summers County hit. Both Hall and Patteson were two-for-three at the plate. Tyler Evans hit a three-run walk-off home run to seal the mercy-rule win for the Green Wave, now 2-1-1 on the season.

Narrows hosts Eastern Montgomery, Thursday.

Rural Retreat 6, Montcalm 3

RURAL RETREAT, Va. — Jackie Burton hit a three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Rural Retreat Indians a win over the Montcalm Generals.

John Casto and Steve Whitteker each had a hit and an RBI for the Generals.

Austin Akers earned the pitching victory, while Aaron Presley took the loss.
