PikeView boys surprise Indians

GARDNER — Alex Testerman and Seth Wood each scored a goal to lead PikeView to a 2-0 win over Sissonville, which entered as the fourth ranked Class AA team in West Virginia.

Isaac VanBlaricom added two assists and Austin Cordell had six saves for PikeView (11-3-1), which will vist Greenbrier East on Tuesday.

GARDNER — Taylor Rhodes and Madison Jones scored goals for Sissonville.

Kristen Brinkley had five saves for PikeView (10-5), which travels Tuesday to James Monroe.

Volleyball

Galax 3, Narrows 0

NARROWS, Va. — Lindsey Ayers had eight kills and 11 digs and Susan Davis added 15 assists and six kills for the Maroon Tide. Karly Park added 15 assists for Galax.

Narrows was paced by Tiffany Kast and Tiffany Perdue with six kills apiece.

Middle School Football

 Bluefield 28, Oak Hill 26

 OAK HILL — Latrell Collier scored three touchdowns on runs of 12, 52 and 48 yards. Jason Edwards added a five-yard scoring run, and Micah DeWitt completed a pair of two-point conversion runs.

Bluefield (5-0) will visit Beckley Stratton on Wednesday.

 Mountain View 26, Summers Co.12

 UNION — Grant Moeller scored all 26 points for Mountain View. Ben Neal had a 70-yard kick return and a 40-yard dash for another score.

Summers County (4-1) will play Glenwood in Princeton on Wednesday.

 RAINELLE —Wesley Hobbs scored three goals, while Gabe Parish, Eric Boothe and Joe Ellington added one apiece for the Cavaliers.

 Mercer Christian (2-1-1) will host Glenwood on Tuesday.
