Princeton senior setter Haley Conner recently collected the 1,000th assist of her career on the volleyball court for the Tigers.
According to Princeton volleyball coach Leslie Graham, Conner has distributed 719 assists for the Tigers this season, with is 17.98 per match. She now has 1,045 assists for her career.
Conner dished out her 1,000th assist during the recent Mountain State Athletic Conference tournament.
“It's a pretty big accomplishment that we have pushed for her to achieve and we are very proud of her,” Graham said. “Haley is a senior this year on the team and is the captain of the team. Her stats this season have been pretty impressive...”
Conner also has 203 service points, 124 digs, 50 aces and 30 kills, and has served at a 91.96 accuracy level this year. In addition to the 1,045 career assists, she also have 367 service points, 282 digs and 71 aces.
“This season Haley has really stepped up to the task of being a leader on the floor,” Graham said.
“Since the setter distributes the ball much like a point guard would do in basketball, they really set the pace for the team. “She has taken on the role very well this year and has led the team to a 24-14-2 record going into sectionals.”
Conner was an All-Class AAA and All-MSAC honorable mention selection last season.
Princeton opens sectional play on Friday at Woodrow Wilson against Oak Hill.
