Greater Beckley tops Pipestem for championship

SUMMERSVILLE — Austin Peyton scored 29 and Aleks Lane added 19, but it was not enough as Pipestem Christian fell to Greater Beckley Christian 58-53 in the WVAT championship game.

Keith Mullins led GBC with 24 points and Javon Santon-Bailey added 14.

Pipestem Christian plays next on Thursday in the WVCEA Tournament at Appalachian Bible College in Bradley against Elk Valley Christian.

MAN — The Mount View Golden Knights improved to 13-5 with a 68-43 win Friday night at Man.

Maurice Brown led the way for Mount View with 25 points and Paco Bonds added 11.

The Knights play Tuesday night at Greenbrier East.
