Prep Boys: PikeView shoots past Patriots

GARDNER — he PikeView Panthers got back on the winning track with a 68-58 win over the Independence Patriots, Tuesday night at PikeView High School.

Logan McKinney led PikeView with 14 points, Tanner Farley added 12 with 10 rebounds and Jason Weitzel tallied 11 with six assists. Austin Cordell had six rebounds and four assists.

PikeView (3-5) will host Liberty, Thursday night.

Wesley Pack led the Rebels with 22.

NEW RICHMOND — Ta’Ron Ayers scored 34 and T.J. Smith 14 but it was not quite enough as the Summers County Bobcats fell at Wyoming East.

Four Warriors scored in double figures led by Josh Tunstalle with 17. Austin Canada and Brett Bowling had 14 apiece and Cody Lester scored 13.

Summers County (5-3) returns to action Friday at home against Nicholas County and Wyoming East hosts Bluefield, also on Friday.

BRADSHAW — The River View Raiders fell to 0-9 on the season, losing at home to Mingo Central.

Freshman Tyree Baker led the Raiders with 19 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals, while Taylor DeHaven added 11 and Tony Clevenger 10 points and eight rebounds.

Alex Lee led the Miners (6-2) with 20.

PRINCETON — The Mercer Christian Cavaliers fell to 8-4 on the season, losing to Ballard Christian at the MCA gymnasium.

Caleb Jennings was high scorer for MCA with 10 points.
