BLUEFIELD — Independence scored seven runs over the final two innings to rally past the Beavers at Bowen Field.

Logan Lineberry, Justin Mariotti and Justin Lightfoot had doubles for the Beavers. Drew Dangelo had two doubles for the Patriots.

Bluefield (3-8) will host defending Class AA state champion Wyoming East today at 5 p.m.

LINDSIDE — Hunter Greco collected four hits, including two home runs, and also drove in six runs to lead the Flying Eagles past the Mavericks.

Woodrow Wilson scored five runs in the fourth to build a 7-2 lead. Brady Knapp earned the win for the Flying Eagles.

Micah Deskins and John Mustain led James Monroe’s 12-hit attack with two hits apiece. Mustain also scored three runs.

Mount View 24, Westside 13

CLEAR FORK — Bryan Villanueva worked all seven innings on the mound, and also had three hits and drove in two runs to lead the Golden Knights to their first win over the season.

Mount View scored 21 runs over the final three innings to overcome a 7-3 deficit to the Renegaes doing into the fourth.

Tashaan Vineyard added two doubles, a single and drove in two runs for Mount View, while Caleb Webb had three hits.

Westside was paced by Drew Bragg with two doubles and two singles, while Trevor Anderson had two hits and two RBIs. Jeff Brown collected a triple, two singles and three runs batted in.

Mount View (1-6) will host Greenbrier East today, while Westside will entertain River View.
