Richlands girls subdue Virginia High; Warriors roll

HINTON — Brittney Justice had 12 points, 15 rebounds and six steals, twin sister Whittney Justice added 19 points, seven assists and five steals and Class AA No. 3 Summers County remained unbeaten.

Senior Brandy Morrison finished with 17 points and eight boards for the Bobcats (7-0), who visit Princeton Monday.

The Mavericks (0-6) got 16 points from Carter Shiflet. Laine Shiflet scored 12 and Rebecca Sparks 10.

HURLEY, Va. — Josh Mullins was the sole Rebel in double-digit scoring Friday night, and Northwood allowed just two points in the final period. Jacob Havens led Northwood with 15 points.

The Rebels play Tuesday at Council.

OAK HILL — The Warriors remained undefeated at 5-0 by beating the Class AAA Red Devils (2-4) in Oak Hill.

Christian Hedinger and Austin Canada each connected on two 3-pointers and led all scorers with 20 and 18 points respectively. Oak Hill, which made six treys, was paced by Jalen Jones’ 14 points.

The Warriors host Shady Spring tonight.
