Prep roundup: Burton leads Narrows; Gallinger’s 23 sparks G-Girls

NARROWS, Va. — The Narrows Green Wave picked up a 65-58 non-district win over Rural Retreat, Wednesday night at the NHS gymnasium.

Chandler Burton led the Green Wave with 21 points. Gavin Givens dropped in 13, Rodney Perdue 12 and Will Patteson 11.

Jay Linkous had a game-high 31 to lead Rural Retreat.

Narrows, now 2-2, returns to action Friday night at Giles.

PEARISBURG, Va. — Emaleigh Gallinger scored 23 points to lead Graham to a non-district win over Giles on Wednesday night.

Graham (4-1) also received six points from Bethany Evans, and four each from Erin Wilso and Ashley Moretto.

Giles (2-2) was paced by 10 points from Courtney Estep.

Graham will host Richlands on Friday, while the Spartans visit Christiansburg tonight.
