Greenbrier Classic player list now up to 149

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS — A contingent of 149 players has committed to play in the Greenbrier Classic.

Seven more will be added on Monday, including four open qualifying positions and three players will get sponsor exemptions for a total of 156. Ten alternates are also available if a spot opens up.

The field contains 13 major championship winners, representing a collective 26 titles. They include Ben Curtis, John Daly, Lucas Glover, Trevor Immelman, Justin Leonard, Davis Love III, Phil Mickelson, Louis Oosthuizen, Webb Simpson, Vijay Singh, Bubba Watson, Mike Weir and The Greenbrier’s Golf Professional Emeritus Tom Watson.

Oosthuizen is the 10th ranked player in the world.

The Greenbrier Classic PGA Tour competition will take place Thursday through Sunday.

Tickets to four competition rounds of golf, three practice rounds, the pro-ams and tickets to all concerts are $159 apiece. Benefactor, Alumni and Clubhouse Badges, which include upgraded access to the golf tournament as well as tickets to all concerts, are available.
