PRINCETON — Dan Schultheis, district manager for the Sheetz Corporation, discussed a two-year agreement to become the marquee sponsor of the Southern West Virginia King's Warriors soccer organization on Friday at a press conference at the Princeton-Mercer County Chamber of Commerce offices.
The agreement includes promotion, advertising, interactive fan participation at King's Warriors’ games, game-day activities and entertainment, food giveaways at games, youth camp sponsorship, and extensive immersion in community activities and events, according to the Nehemiah Group, which runs the soccer team.
The team will play its home games this year at East River Soccer Complex near Bluefield. The King’s Warriors will play its opener on May 16 against the South Carolina United Bantams, in what will be dubbed “Sheetz Night.”
Those attending Friday's press conference included Mike Mara, director of community relations for King’s Warriors; George Aiello, president of East River Soccer Association; Kathy Strubel, store manager of one of the two Sheetz Princeton locations; and chamber of commerce executive director Robert Farley.
