River View outshoots Montcalm; Summers County slams Valley 92-8

BRADSHAW — Jordan Wilson scored 17 points and Taylor DeHaven canned 15, leading River View to a 58-39 win over Montcalm to improve to 8-7 on the season.

Tyree Baker added nine points for River View, which will visit James Monroe on Friday.

Montcalm, which hasn’t won since beating River View to open the season, was paced by Tyler Goins and Josh Hamblin with 10 points apiece.

PILGRIM’S KNOB, Va. — Austin Shortridge scored 13 points and Brandon McGlothlin added 12, as Twin Valley advanced to the Conference 47 (Crooked Road) semifinals against the Cavaliers.

Wes Roberts led Holston with 15 points.

Thomas Burniston tallied 10 points for the Panthers, which will play Haysi on Friday at Council Elementary School with a berth in the regionals the following week at stake. Honaker and Council will meet in the other semifinal, with the championship slated for Saturday.

Wyoming East 69, Morgantown 59

CHARLESTON — Austin Canada scored 24 points, while hitting six of the Warriors’ 11 3s during Wyoming East’s win over Class AAA Morgantown at the Little General Shootout at the Charleston Civic Center.

Christian Hedinger added 24 points for Wyoming East, while Taron Ayers added 13. The Warriors visit Mount View on Friday.

Morgantown was paced by Tom Selby with 17 points.
