Knights sweep Van

WELCH — The Mount View boys’ and girls’ swept the visiting Van Bulldogs on Wednesday evening at The Castle.

In the preliminary girls contest, the Lady Knights took a 49-17 win behind junior Tamia Joyce’s 11 points. Gazelle Brown and Kaitlyn Gillespie would knock down eight apiece.

Stevie White paced the 5-11 Bulldogs with nine points.

Mount View, now 13-5, will visit PikeView tonight.

WELCH — The Golden Knights claimed a decision over the Bulldogs.

Senior Paco Bonds led the offense with 17 points, while grabbing eight rebounds, and sophomore Kenneth Brown contributed 13 points.

Brandon Elswick’s 17 points topped the Bulldogs.

Mount View (5-13) will entertain Wyoming East at The Castle.
