Dority’s 21 leads River View past Patriots

COAL CITY — Kiersten Dority scored 21 points to lead River View to a 63-36 win over Independence on Thursday night.

Rebeckah Christian and Kaitlyn Dobbs added 14 points each for the Raiders (4-6), which hosts James Monroe on Saturday afternoon.

HINTON — Brandy Morrison scored 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to help the Bobcats improve to 10-0 on the season.

The sister duo of Brittney and Whitney Justice added 15 points each. Whitney Justice also had six assists. Aubrey Holley had three 3s and finished with 13 points.

Bri Pertee and Megan Davis paced the Warriors (7-4) with 15 points each.

Summers County (10-0) will host PikeView on Saturday.

HURRICANE — Abby Watson scored 34 points, including the 1,000th point of her career to lead the Redskins past the Tigerettes.

Princeton, which dropped to 0-10, was led by Sarah Cole with 17 points and Ashley Culicerto with 11.

Hurricane made 11 3s, including seven by Watson and three by Kaylee Wooden, who finished with nine points.

Taneisha Sturdavent added 19 points for the Redskins, which improved to 6-3.

Princeton will visit Spring Valley on Saturday.
