Jackson’s 30 sends Panthers past Titans

PILGRIM'S KNOB, Va. — Katelyn Jackson scored 30 points, canning four of Twin Valley nine 3s, leading the Panthers to a 69-45 Region D, Division 1 tournament win over Twin Springs on Tuesday night.

Kara Goodman added 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Brandi Rose added 12 points to lead the Panthers (11-12) to a semifinal game on Thursday with Clintwood at Lebanon High School.

Twin Springs was paced by Shiloah Darnell with 19 points and 18 by Jasmine McCloud.

CLEAR FORK — Haley Shrewsbury scored 14 points and snagged nine steals to the lead the Bobcats to a sectional win over the Warriors.

Tyra Wynes added 21 points for Summers County (15-8), while Avery Pivont scored 14 points.

Hannah Ford paced Wyoming East (13-10) with 23 points.

Summers County will play at Westside on Thursday for the Region 3, Section 1 championship.

GLEN DANIEL — Levi Cook scored 36 points to lead the Raiders past the Panthers.

Trevor McGee added 22 points for Liberty.

PikeView (6-14) was paced by Austin Cordell and Bradley Flinchum with 13 points apiece. Jason Weitzel added 10 points and seven assists.

PikeView will host Wyoming East tonight.

LINDSIDE — Josh Graham made two free throws with 1.5 seconds left on the clock in overtime lead the Bobcats past the Mavericks.

Ta’Ron Ayers led Summers County with 35 points, while T.J. Smith had 21 and Graham added 14.

James Monroe, which will host Mount View for Senior Night on Thursday, was paced by Jacob McKlarney with 24 points and 19 by Micah Deskins.
