Prep girls: Allen scores 22, leads Richlands past Falcons

RICHLANDS, Va. — Richlands avenged its lone Southwest District loss of the season with a 66-37 victory over Abingdon on Tuesday night.

Brittany Allen scored 22 points for the Lady Blues (12-2, 4-1), while Montana Hearl (13), Cassidy Richardson (11) and MaKenley Davis (10) also reached double digits for Richlands.

Richardson added 12 assists, while Rachel Alley pulled down 14 rebounds.

Morgan Turner and Madison Turner scored eight points each for the Falcons.

BLUEFIELD, Va. — Camryn McGrady scored 19 points to help the Blue Devils maintain first place in the MED.

Meredith Frost added 13 points and Madison Shoop canned 11.

Graham (9-9, 3-3) was paced by Ashley Moretto with 13 points. Bethany Evans pulled down 10 rebounds for the G-Girls, who will visit Narrows tonight.

GARDNER — Shaelyn Shaffer scored 21 points and Mackenzie Martin added 17 to lead the Grizzlies to a 14-1 record on the season.

MARION, Va. — Taylor Catron scored 16 points and Autumn Hash canned 11 to help the Bulldogs remain undefeated in the Southwest District.

Catron added seven assists and three steals, while Hash pulled down six rebounds. Tazewell (12-6, 4-0), which visits Carroll County tonight, also received eight points from Katie Snapp. Haley Christian pulled down eight boards.

PILGRIM’S KNOB, Va. — Laken Robinette scored 11 points to lead Honaker to a Black Diamond District win over the Panthers.

Twin Valley was paced by Katelyn Jackson with 18 points, while Kara Goodman added 10.

Twin Valley will visit Richlands today, while the Tigers travel on the same night to Hurley.
