Prep roundup: Storm front favors Tornado over Hurricane

MARION, Va. — Cassidy Richardson scored 19 points and dished out nine assists to lead Richlands to 51-43 Southwest District win over Marion on Tuesday night.

Brittany Allen added 12 points and MaKenley Davis tossed in 10. Rachel Alley pulled down 11 rebounds.

Katie Pennington and Alli Moore scored 12 points each for Marion.

Richlands (11-2, 3-1), which trails only Tazewell at the top of the SWD standings, will host Abingdon on Friday.

PRINCETON — Miranda Kendrick scored 20 points, and also contributed eight rebounds, two assists and two steals to lead the Generals past the Cavaliers.

Leslie Kelley added 18 points, along with seven boards, two assists and two steals for the Generals, who will travel Thursday to Greater Beckley Christian. Montcalm led 15-0 before the Cavaliers scored.

Jamie Brown led Mercer Christian with 21 points.
