Molly Lovern signed a letter of intent to play tennis Shepherd University, Friday, November 15.
Accom-panying her were her parents, John and Lori Lovern, and her tennis coaches, Jim and Cathy Bailey.
Lovern has been a member of Bluefield High’s tennis team for four years.
She and her partner Claire Bailey won number two doubles in the 2013 AA state championship. Lovern has achieved many things during her time at Bluefield, among them becoming Student Body President.
Lovern is very excited to be going to Shepherd, even though she said will miss her family tremendously. She says the distance away from them is difficult to deal with, but that her family is very happy and excited for her.
BHS Athletic Director Kim Miller said, “Molly has been an asset here at BHS for four years. We are extremely proud of her and all of her accomplishments. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.”
