— A day before they play for a spot in the state soccer tournament, the Princeton Senior High School girls soccer team is ranked in the Region IV poll of the National Soccer Coaches Association. The newest poll was released today.
Princeton (17-1) is 14th in the poll. Region IV encompasses prep schools and high schools in West Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland, Tennessee and Virginia.
In the final West Virginia Soccer Coaches Association poll, the Tigers were fourth in Class AAA and fifth among all girls prep soccer teams in the state.
Princeton will play George Washington High School on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Coonskin Park in Charleston in the Class AAA Region 3 championship match. The winner goes on to the state tournament, scheduled for Nov. 2-3 in Beckley.
