Beavers atop AP poll

CHARLESTON — The unbeaten Bluefield Beavers (5-0) hold down the top spot in Class AA for another week in the Associated Press West Virginia prep basketball poll released on Monday afternoon. Bluefield was the unanimous choice for No. 1 by a panel of statewide sports writers.

The PikeView girls (7-1) are tied for seventh in Class AA in the AP poll and are 10th in the state coaches' association poll. Undefeated Summers County (6-0) has the No. 3 spot in the AP list and is No. 4 in the coaches' poll.
