BLUEFIELD, Va. — Girls Tennis

Graham 9, Bland County 0

BLUEFIELD, Va. — Graham improved to 6-1 on the season and 3-1 in the Mountain Empire District by blanking the Bears.

Caitlin Williams of Graham defeated Bland County top seed Rebecca Havens 6-2, 6-4. Williams and Rebecca Day also won the top doubles match 8-0.

Graham will host Fort Chiswell on Monday at Bluefield College.

Huntington S-Joe 4, Bluefield 3

BLUEFIELD — Huntington St. Joe’s sent the Bluefield girls tennis team to defeat for the first time this season.

Molly Lovern did win the top seed contest for the Beavers, who dropped to 7-1 on the season, with a home match on tap today with Wyoming East.

BLUEFIELD — The Bluefield boys improved to 9-0 on the season, led by Justin Freund and Jose Tarin who remained unbeaten in singles play, and continue to be undefeated as a doubles team.

Bluefield will host Wyoming East today at the Bluefield City Courts.

Tigers tennis teams win at East

FAIRLEA— The Princeton boys and girls tennis teams picked up wins Thursday at Greenbrier East. The boys team beat the Spartans 5-2, while the girls won 4-3. Kelsi Browning is now 10-3 on the season and William Robertson is 11-2.
