GALAX, Va. —
Graham’s golf team remained perfect in district play on Monday, winning the second Mountain Empire District match of the year by eight strokes at Blue Ridge Golf and Country Club in Galax, Va.
The G-Men put together a 322 team score, outpacing the Maroon Wave of Galax (330). Grayson County finished third with 352 and Fort Chiswell was fourth at 386.
John Bryant of Galax was medalist for the day after shooting a 2-over par 72.
Graham, 6-0 in the district, competes Thursday in another MED match at Grayson County.
Individual scores: Graham — Ben Ramsey 76, Jack Toohey 77, William McGuire 84, Bradley Hicks 85.
WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS — The Princeton Tigers ran away with Monday’s golf match at the Meadows Course at The Greenbrier resort, posting a 314 team score to win by 15 strokes over Greenbrier East.
Will Hickman of Princeton was the day’s medalist with a 76, and teammate Tyler Hillyer was one stroke away at 77. Drew Ward from Nicholas County had a 78 and Greenbrier East’s Harrison Martin had a 79. Woodrow Wilson completed the four-school field on Monday.
It was the second match of the season for Princeton, which finished second last week at Draper Valley in a field of 19 schools.
Princeton’s next match is scheduled for Thursday at the Princeton Elks course. The Tigers will host Summers County and Montcalm.
