BLUEFIELD, Va. — Bluefield College will host its Second Annual Tierney Scholarship Awareness Dinner, featuring Tazewell native and Major League Baseball pitcher Billy Wagner on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Bluefield (W.Va.) The program will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7, and a sports auction during dinner to support the cause. Individual tickets for dinner and to hear Wagner speak are $100, or $125 to also participate in the meet-and-greet session prior to dinner. A table of eight is $1,200 and includes dinner, the program, the meet-and-greet, and a baseball autographed by Wagner for all eight guests. For reservations, call (276) 326-4458.
