ARCHERY

BLACKSBURG, Va. — The Triangle Bowhunters will hold a 3D archery thournament on Sunday, Sept. 14. It is open to the public and people of all ages with any and all styles of archery equipment. HUNTINGTON — Marshall baseball will host a fall hitting camp on Sept. 22 and 29 and Oct. 6 and 13. BASKETBALL

BECKLEY — The West Virginia Blazers will fill their roster with a second tryout on Sunday at the Beckley YMCA. Registration starts at noon, with the tryout sessions beginning at 1 p.m. The tryout cost is $50 with early registration, and $100 at the door. The Blazers will play a 30-game schedule, including 15 home games at the Raleigh County Convention Center. The first game is scheduled for Dec. 14 at Memphis, and the first home game will be played Jan. 4. BLUEFIELD — The local chapter of “Hillbilly Bassmasters,” one of the oldest bass fishing clubs in the United States, will hold a meeting on Sept. 15 at the Bluefield (W.Va.) TAZEWELL, Va. — The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office Relay for Life Team and the American Cancer Society are sponsoring a Trout Rodeo on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Tazewell Moose Lodge stream located just off Route 19. The stream will be stocked with rainbow trout and all proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. RUN/WALK

BLUEFIELD — Bluefield State College will be sponsoring the third annual Brian A. Delp 5K Memorial on Sept. 27 at 9 a.m. at Glenwood Park on State Rt. 20. This year’s race will feature a 5K Run and 5K Walk, with a cookout after the race. The cost is $15 before Sept. 27 and $18 the day of the race. The 5K walk is $8. Trophies will be awarded to overall male/female winners in both races and the top three finishers in each age group in the 5K run. All registered participants will receive t-shirts.
