BLUEFIELD — All boys who plan to play football for the Bluefield Middle School Buccaneers must report on Aug. 8 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. for equipment handout. BLUEFIELD — Bluefield Middle School will conduct a mandatory informational meeting on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the school cafeteria for all girls interested in trying out for cheerleading. BLUEFIELD — A “Big Blue Reunion” of Bluefield State athletes who played for the Blues from 1968-80 will be held at the Bluefield City Auditorium on Aug. 16 at noon. Participants are urged to bring a covered dish. There is no charge. A group of former BSC coaches are seeking to reunite players and coaches that brought athletic glory to the region.
