Hunter leads VSGA Junior Am

Staff report

Bluefield, Va. resident John David Hunter, right, fired a second-round 67 to take the lead at the 56th Annual Virginia State Golf Association Junior Amateur at Blacksburg Country Club.

Hunter’s 5-under round propelled him to 7-under for the tournament and a one-shot lead over Brinson Paolini, Evan Beck, Matt Harman and Nicholas Austin.
