BASEBALL
PRINCETON — The 12th annual Princeton Rays Youth Baseball Clinic will be held on Saturday, July 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hunnicutt Field in Princeton. The clinic will be open to boys and girls 7-15 years of age. Each participant will receive free admission to the July 12 game between the P-Rays and the Bluefield Orioles. BLUEFIELD — There will be a USSSA baseball tournament held July 26 -27, open to all 13/U and 14/U teams. PRINCETON —The Princeton Rays Professional Baseball Team has announced the formation of a “Kids Club” for area kids ages 12 and under. Club members will receive P-Rays’ “Kids Club” t-shirt and receive free admission to all of the 34 P-Rays’ regular season home games this season just for wearing the shirt to a game. BLUEFIELD, Va. — The Bluefield College Basketball Camp will be held on July 21-25 at the Dome Gymnasium from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Under the direction of Bluefield men’s basketball coach Jason Gillespie, the instructional camp will feature t-shirts, prizes, devotionals, guest speakers and work on the fundamentals. BLUEFIELD — A “Big Blue Reunion” of Bluefield State athletes who played for the Blues from 1968-80 will be held at the Bluefield City Auditorium on Aug. 16 at noon. Participants are urged to bring a covered dish. There is no charge. A group of former BSC coaches are seeking to reunite players and coaches that brought athletic glory to the region.
