Barnett earns SWD player of year honors

Richlands senior pitcher Jordan Barnett has been selected as the Southwest District Player of the Year for the second season in a row. Barnett, who will next play for Limestone College, led the Blue Tornado to a 23-1 record and an SWD regular season and tournament title. Richlands junior catcher Joel Elswick and Tazewell’s Taylor Herald and T.J. Taxley were first team honorees.
