PRINCETON —The Princeton Rays Professional Baseball Team has announced the formation of a “Kids Club” for area kids ages 12 and under. For a $12 fee, club members will receive P-Rays’ “Kids Club” t-shirt and receive free admission to all of the 34 P-Rays’ regular season home games this season just for wearing the shirt to a game. There will also be a “members only” picnic with the Rays’ team on June 15. There are numerous other benefits as well. BLUEFIELD, Va. — The Bluefield Virginia Rotary Club will host the 7th annual Stelio Corte Memorial Golf Tournament on May 16 at the Richwood Golf Club. Funds raised will benefit the support to the Bluefield Union Mission, local college scholarships and local charities. The four-man captain’s choice event will start at 1 p.m. The cost is $400, and prizes will be rewarded for closest to the pin, longest drive and straight drive. ROAD RACE

BLUEFIELD — The Wellness Center will be sponsoring the Bluefield Road Race 5K Run/10K Run on May 24 at 8 a.m. This year’s race will also feature a 5K Walk. The race is being held in-conjunction with the Greater Bluefield Mountain Festival. Cost is $15 before May 23 and $18 the day of the race. Cost of the 5K walk is $12. Trophies will be awarded to overall male/female winners in both races and the top three finishers in each age group. All registered participants will receive T-shirts.
