BLUEFIELD, Va. — The Bluefield, Va. Little League is accepting applications for the spring baseball, softball and t-ball seasons, with boys and girls from the Bluefield, Springville and Pocahontas areas urged to participate. Age groups range from 4-of-16 years of age. Signups are being held Saturday, March 22, at the Tazewell County Public Library in Bluefield. Applications can be picked up at the library and must be postmarked by March 20 to be eligible to play. PRINCETON — The Princeton-Mercer County Chamber of Commerce golf tournament will be held May 9 at Fountain Springs Golf Club. Awards are given for first-third place in the four-person captain’s choice event, along with closest to the pin, longest drive and straightest drive, and door prizes will also be given away. ATHENS — The Concord University Volleyball Day Camp is July 28-30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Carter Center in Athens, for beginning players. The $40 camp fee includes cafeteria lunch and a T-shirt.
