Police have made one arrest and the courts have issued warrants for two additional suspects on charges related to the recovery of a handgun and 900, 80-milligram oxycodone pills from a Bluefield motel room. The gun, a Highpoint .380, and the drugs, with a $90,000 street value, were recovered on March 27, during a search of a room at the Economy Inn on Cumberland Road.
Glenn Mitchell, 27, of Bluefield was arrested and arraigned on April 4, according to Patrolman R.D. Davis of the Bluefield Police Department. “We have issued warrants for two additional suspects in the case, a female, Terri Cheeks, 31, and a male, Detriuss Martin, 38, both of Bluefield,” Davis said.
