Bluefield Daily Telegraph

PRINCETON — West Virginia State Police report that a truck driver from Pennsylvania was fatally injured in a single-vehicle wreck Friday morning on Interstate 77 at the 3 mile marker.

“He was traveling northbound on I-77 and passing another vehicle when the wreck occurred,” Sgt. D.W. Miller, detachment commander of the Princeton Detachment of the West Virginia State Police said. “The driver of the truck he was passing graciously stopped and talked to me about the wreck. He said it looked like his load shifted when he was passing.”

Miller said the trucker was hauling a steel coil. His name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
