BLUEFIELD, VA. — Two men were taken into custody after the vehicle they were in flipped in Bluefield, Va.
Bluefield, Va. Police Chief Harry Cundiff said Stevin Hamilton Halterman, 24, address unavailable, was charged with driving under the influence and John Robert Goss, 24, address unavailable, was charged with public intoxication after the red truck they were in flipped on Mountain Lane in Bluefield, Va. at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Cundiff said the accident was reported as a single-vehicle crash to Tazewell County 911. Neither Haltmerman nor Goss were injured in the accident, Cundiff said.
Cundiff said both men were transported to the Southern Regional Jail in Tazewell, Va. after failing a field sobriety test administered at the scene of the accident.
Halterman was still in custody at the Southern Regional Jail in Tazewell, Va. Wednesday morning while Goss had bonded out.
In addition to the Bluefield, Va. Police Department the Bluefield, Va. Fire Department and Bluefield, Va. Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
