TAZEWELL, Va. —
Thirty six people have been arrested in an investigation representing 12 months of collaboration between seven law enforcement agencies that resulted in 170 charges involving the distribution of drugs in Tazewell County, Commonwealth Attorney Dennis Lee said today.
The Tazewell County grand jury indicted the individuals Sept. 10. Thirty-six of them have been arrested as of Wednesday. Prescription narcotics still make up 80 percent of the controlled substances being found in Tazewell County, Lee said.
